Another oil line question....
 

ok, this is the last of my oil line questions ... pretty much just a few that didnt get answered in my other thread..

i have the stealthmode kid and may i say bling bling!!!

1. what should i use on the threads??? i have heard teflon tape can break down due to heat, and it can end up in your turbo and muck it up .. what are the better options???

2. instaling the oil return fitting into the pan .... the kit says to just screw it in and use silicone but i hear its better to weld it.. is this true??? is the oil pan made of aluminum or steel??? i dont want to go burning through it!

really??? isnt loctite just like super glue but stronger???? what if i need to get it out ......

we use loctite here at work and its strong ---- .... guy went to the hospital once cause he glued his fingers together!!! :)

and is the pan steel?

1. I never used teflon tape anywhere alse other than the block and the tee near my firewall. You can use liquid teflon if you don't want to use tape.

2. Which oil pan do you have but from your screen name I'm going to assume the pan is steel

and liquid teflon??? is that a good idea???? where do you get it??

what oil pans out there are not made of steel????

I always use loctite (thread locker whatever) on the threads. On the oil pan, it doesn't matter what your oil pan is made out of because the fitting is brass and you can't weld it. I would use some type of very strong thread sealant on that, (some use jb weld) and put it on as if you will never take it off, because that's the plan. It would be a fucken mess if you ever took it out anyway. (the pan)

there are 3 different strength of locite, the red locite is hard and stong, there are two other that is not hard and strong that works well, i think they are blue and green, i forgot

hell yeah jb weld does rule!! my ghetto fitting is jb welded and hasnt gave me problems at all. its stuck to the pan like a mothaf**** ;D

whats the process of putting it in with jb weld??? sorry for all the dumb questions.... i just want to get it right the first time .....
