another injector Q

i nkow most ppl use dsm 450s, or 390s or whatever the auto has, but does ti matter what injecters they are? can i take injectors off another car as long as they have the proper flow rate needed? like i see on ebay, rx7, 240sx, supra, etc injectors that are on the upwards of 400cc+ and im thinkin i can get those for cheaper then the eclipse ones. are they usable? which ones arent?

as long as they are top feed you are good to go, just make sure to find out if they are low or high impedence to determine if you need or dont need resistors/resistor pack.

For impedance, around 2-4 ohms = low impedance, and 10-12 Ohms = High Impedance. You can measure your current injectors using this method - http://stores.ebay.com/Tuner-Toys/De...impedance.html

As for physical fitment - it would be easiest if the new injectors match your existing injectors for the following...

1 - diameter of the seals, and the length from seal top to seal bottom, as well as injector depth past the bottom seal (although depth is not critical)
2 - electrical connector - hondas have different connectors for OBD0/1 and OBD2. You can work around this by replacing your OBD2 clisp with OBD0/1 Pigtails.
3 - Impedance - if you have a high impedance car/ecu, and buy low impedance injectors, you can add resistor inline to each injector, to make it runn correctly.
