just go with stainless sch10, its cheap and easier to cut than SCh40.

don't do mild steel, it will rust and look like crap in the long run. Sc 10 SS will be easier to work with, better cost effective, and it will look much better than any mild steel.

ya i know, i was typing up my "defense" as to why i asked about mild.. but just reading it made me change my mind. i will wait till my welding skillz have improved enough to know im not going to end up scraping a full stainless steel mani. lol
