Default ANODIZED?! (n00bish)

a friend of mine just gave me a a holley throttle body for my birthday. but the thing is, its ANODIZED GREEN!!!
question is. is it possible to remove that color without sanding or blasting it? can i pour some kind of cleaner and make that thing melt away? thanks

if its real anodized... it should be a thick layer of green... basically like tinted green sprey'd on/over the throttle body. sprey paint the bitch black n call it a day... nothin wrong with a black throttle body?

You could just paint it like DA6 did or you could get some aircraft stripper from autozone....that ---- will eat up anything.

Eazy-Off oven cleaner (YELLOW CAN NOT BLUE) has been known to remove anodizing without hurting the metal finish. I've never done it personally but i've used it in other applications and it is a very effective paint remover from ABS plastics. It may take a bit and you aren't gonna get a new color without putting some elbow grease into it.
