Default Analyze my custom setup please! :)

I've wanted to turbo my car for a while now, and I have read a lot of stuff regarding a custom setup. So far I have pieced together this idea for a kit. So if anyone could please help me out and add or remove pieces that I may/may not need, let me know. So far I have this worked out. My plan is to run a low boost (6-8psi) daily driver setup, im still a little confused as to how I can control my boost and if I should stick with an internal wastegate or go external.
-Engine D16Z6 with 130,000 kms (considering a B18B swap, but Id like to boost my stock engine as well)

-14b turbocharger with internal wastegate (I still need to learn how to modify it's boost)
-DSM 450's
-Custom Intercooler (most likely Jonnnyrace car 5X30)
-Crx manifold w/plate
-SMC 500

Obviously these are the main components and the rest is easy. For a daily driver D16Z or B18B, does this setup seem alright? Also there is the matter of timing adjustment which I will most likely have to use the the dizzy for. Im torn between using a VAFC hack and the SMC. Comments?

Sounds good to me. The 14b is a good choice as well. You might want to go a little bigger on the b18 though. Looks good so far.

sounds like fun.

youll know what kind of wastegate to run when you get the turbo cause the turbo will either be internal or external.

im not too familiar with external, but with internal wastegates you can keep the boost low with a low tensioned spring actuator. ( the actuator is the gold piece with the threaded bar coming out of it on a turbo)

If i had a b18 id get a bigger turbo though.
the 14b will be good for a d16 engine.
