alot of exhuast smoke???
i gutted my cat and now i have alot of smoke coming out the exhuast once i get of the throttle. my oil return is above oil level and is the same size as a dsm. turbo only has bout 200 miles on it and i know its not the engine seals or rings so why do i forecast rain once off the throttle. its cool while punching it.

Re:alot of exhuast smoke???
If you gut your cat expect your ride to be stinky and a smokemobile. ;D

Re:alot of exhuast smoke???
uhm u remove the cat it wont be any more smoky. the cat filters out HCO i believe.
rings, valve seals, turbo seals. |

Re:alot of exhuast smoke???
has anyway else had this experience. the engine seals are fine. doesnt smoke with turbo off. the turbo itself has only bout 200 something miles on it.

Re:alot of exhuast smoke???
I replaced my entire exhaust system when I went turbo w/a 2X resonator & a flow through muffler. No smoke until a piston ring went. Why R U certain that you don't have internal engine problems ?

Re:alot of exhuast smoke???
because with the turbo off. no smoke

Re:alot of exhuast smoke???

leaky turbo? |
Re:alot of exhuast smoke???
then it has to be the turbo, or a shitty oil return line, the oil fitting in the pan has to be above the oil level in the pan, or it will backup inside of the center section and cause a leak to blow out your exhaust.
gutting your cat has nothing to do with smoke. Jeff |
