Alldata - like an electronic Helms manual for all cars - FREE

UPDATE: instructions how to do it free below!

Well, sorta. If you know what usenet is (aka newsgroups), you can get it for free.

The dvd's for basicly all vehicles from 1982-2006 were uploaded to alt.binaries.cd.image about 30 days ago, and are about to 'fall off' the Time Warner Roadrunner servers. But for a few bucks, you could sign up for a paid service like easynews and download them. Each dvd is 8gb worth of everything for every car (recalls, how to reassemble a 2JZ-GE, install a 95 camaro tranny), and there are 10+ dvd's there. So far I have all imports covering 1982-1994, Honda/Acura/Mazda/Toyota/Lexus/Subi/Mitus from 1995-2006, and GM vehicles are next.

BTW this is 100% legal to talk about and download, the illegal ---- is where you start to open the files and burn to disc :P AFAIK, you basicly need to be a shop owner to even be considered to buy these, otherwise its a shitload of cash. If you want to start and have roadrunner as an ISP, download Xnews (free), use news-server.wi.rr.com as your server, and RTFM to learn xnews. And buy a dual-layer burner or a new HDD, this ---- is big!

Now I'm gonna go use my new manuals to rebuild that 2JZ-GTTE for the 1983 Yugo, which I rebuilt with the manual too... :y

PS newsgroups are also great for full-size porn DVDs, playstation/xbox/pc games, cracked computer software, and whatever else that can be uploaded. Its fuckking crazy.

How to do it free:

SIgn up for a free Easynews account.
Search for 'alt.binaries.cd.image' group via members page
D/l 1GB of files
Change your IP#
Repeat several times. BTW #3 is the Honda disk, and you need the 'master' 9.x disc

For $50: do the same, except do the $10 account and let it 'buy gigs' automaticly

Re: Alldata - like an electronic Helms manual for all cars - FREE

Lol, direct link to 90gb? Are you serious? :-X

Look up Alldata, then edit your post sir. On the internet one week ago, I spent nearly an hour trying to find just rough pictures of Evo/DSM/Subi drivetrains. With Alldata one hour ago, I printed out the exploded diagram of the entire DSM awd system, evo system, and subi systems. Then I read the procedure on how to disassemble AND reassemble a 2JZ-GTTE for a 98 supra. Took me 5 mins to do that, and most of the time was looking at the pictures. :6

Helms manuals are $70 give or take, new. You can get cheap/free pdf's for very popular vehicles, but if you want to work on any other vehicle, you're on your own. The 'full' version of this is ~90gigs, meaning through easynews, and that would cost about $50. A cheaper place would be half that, but you might have to rebuilt a few files with par2 files (easy, but time consuming). I choose easynews because its like the cadillac of usenet providers.

BTW for those who's ISP blocks usenet, Easynews has an HTTP version - as in uses port 80 in which your ISP doesn't block. I can connect to it at school, search it instantly, and D/L apps that I need that were posted several months ago. I'm also able to D/L the HTTP stuff at whatever my ISP lets me, and yesterday was about 480kb/s while another 100kb/s was used by xnews.

CLiff Notes:
90gb worth of files for all vehicles imported to the USA from 1982-2006, all GM and Ford cars 1982-2006 (others weren't posted) for FREE or at most $50.

Sorry, I'm an ass. Here's a direct download link for the 90+ gigs in files:

http://www.allyourfiles.com/uploads/omg90gigzorz.ZIP

So if you have a $3000 per month T3 connection devoted to you, it would only take 47 hours to download it. Or Roadrunner if they give you the same speed.

Re: Alldata - like an electronic Helms manual for all cars - FREE

Your link doesn't work. And my $25/month 6 megabit connection will download it in 42 hours.

Re: Alldata - like an electronic Helms manual for all cars - FREE

You're kidding, that link doens't work? ----, all the other times I've uploaded MULTI-GIGABYTE files it has worked. /sarcasm When was the last time you saw a direct link to full dvd videos and playstation/xbox games? If you have let me know, I'll upload this ---- there. Otherwise stop complaining about no direct link, I'm just trying to help. 12yr olds can teach themselves usenet, I know I did so long ago.
