Default For all the f22 dsm guys...

Car:

1990 honda accord with f22a1 motor.

Couple questions:

1. I am planning on using a 1g dsm manifold can I use my stock exhaust manifold gasket? Suggestions to buy new one?

2. Gasket kits for 14b turbo to manifold?

3. Stock fuel pump ok for 8psi?

4. Absolute need to get the manifold redrilled to fit f22 studs?

5. SAFC sufficient with dsm injectors for hack?

Anything else you guys can offer with the install, tuning, etc etc?

TIA

Ken

the stock gasket would be ok aslong as it looks good, and apply copper high temp gasket sealnt to it. find out what car bought the 14b from factory and call up auto parts for it or a dealer. or you can get some thin 1/64" sheet metal and cut your own gasket. yep you definately need to redril the manifold, should'nt be too hard. and you're gonna have to grind off a block web cause the turbo will hit it. get a walboro 255 fuel pump cause your stock one will quit after a couple weeks of working overtime for those larger injectors. and in 90' i think you have obd0 if not obd2 and either ecus' can be chipped for fuel/spark management. much cheaper and better management than the safc. you could boost 12psi safely on that motor, if it's in good running condition. there's a block long thread here somewhere about dsmaccords check the search feature for it.
i always liked those cars the 89'-91'accords how the dash is low and there's so much visibility.

we're obd1 by the way...i think that was just a typo

1. Buy a new gasket from the auto store they're like $14
2. Ask the auto store for a 90-94 eclipse gst turbo gasket set. Bring the turbo with u if u can to make sure they gave u the right ones.
3. Should be ok but i'd say have one on hand just in case. Most all the turbo f22's don't use one it just sits in the garage cause its a pain to get in.
4. Yes u do absolutely need to redrill.
5. SAFC is sufficient but have you looked into chipped ecu's? (assuming u have a 5-speed)
6. Good luck and run an oil catch can please

Ok...I left out a few things :P

My car is an auto (I am too lazy to find parts for the 5spd conversion). My car has 183K on her but compression is otay, no leaks or no burning.

Thanks for the information but could you explain a little more on the catch can (total n00b ) I am sending my manifold to be redrilled should a new exhaust gasket (for holes) be sufficient for redrilling the holes?
