Airplane fuel while boosted?

i have a d15b w/t-25 turbo boosted to 7psi and was wondering about using some airplane fuel i have laying around. i have 5 gallons of it at my house and was wondering if i should use it or how much to use.

what octane is it?

chances are if it's been lying around, its probably not any good. besides, why would you do that to your civic, its just a little extreme, might eat your ---- apart

Re:Airplane fuel while boosted?

airplane fuel is alot different than race fuel, they're both designed for two different purposes. I wouldn't really bother with it, if your really worried about what type of gas to run go get some VP or some CAM2.

rember, gas doesnt make your car faster, its just lets it take more abuse. so your pretty much wasting time/money

Re:Airplane fuel while boosted?

Don't use airplane fuel, it is high octane but is very different than regular gas. I think it has something to do with the fact that airplane motors get to a certain rpm and stay there.

I'd say use it, it won't ---- ----, whats the octane rating? how old is it?

airplane fuel is basically just carosean(sp :-\).DONT USE IT!

that was a friend of mine that wanted to ask a question but didn't feel like registering. i'll let him know that it's probly not a good idea.
i think he said it was 106 octane and he has had it for a couple of months. he wanted to put three gallons in his tank and fill up with the rest of the way with 92 octane.

Back in the day my buddy ran a mix of 10% 93 octane and 90% octane booster in his 3-wheeler. It was fast a ---- for 3 minutes until it blew up

Re:Airplane fuel while boosted?

thats because octane booster is tulene not gasoline.

its works my bonding to the gasonline atoms a molecular level to make the the fuel more resitant to cumbustion.

most people think its just a "super gas". if u fill your tank with 100% tulene, the car wont even start.

They're also air cooled and rotary engines.

Airplane fuel ain't carosean....Carosean is for jet engines.
You can use the airplane fuel....A lot of people I know used it for dragracing.
My father works at an oil refinary and he said it was ok to use when racing it's just High octane fuel(Nafta)

I think that its close to the same ---- that super-cars and funny cars are running. Containing EXTREME amounts of volatile chemicals.

Re:Airplane fuel while boosted?

airplane gas isn't rated in the same "octane" kinda scale we are used to... its not that special either, despite being kinda expensive..

Most air planes are 500ish Ci 6cylinders and only rev to like 2500rpms.... torque, not Hp..

Lots of the smaller homebuilt airplanes use Subaru flat 4 motors. Airplane fuel is fine to use but make sure you don't have an O2 sensor or a cat. Airplane fuel is leaded and will ---- both up.

My mom used to fuel airplanes(usually learjets and such, sometimes the big ones too), and used the airplane fuel in her AMC hornet. She didn't have any problems for a while, but it did eventually die.

I regestered just to tell you that you are a retard. To say that toluene is non-combustable is like saying that gasolene is edible. If you sincerely believe one, please believe the other. And read this http://www.ccohs.ca/oshanswers/chemi...basic_tol.html. It might make you sound professional.

I would say that you got owned. I just thought of something. Maybe if we got all the burnouts that sniff ---- to snif this ---- they would go away. ::) also sounds like agent orange.
