Nope, air/air is better for DD.

I tried the w/a for daily driving and it sucked. I had a very good sized heat exchanger for the water also. I could have tried a bigger pump for the water, but I didnt worry about it much.

I loved going to the track, throwing in some ice into the reservour, making a pass and popping the hood to find a very frosty pwr cooler.

Other than that, I would go with a nice sized JRC front mount. So far I have been extremely happy with the core, and it has net me some decent 11 second passes at 118-119mph.

Next weekend hoping for more. O0

for a daily driver I would shy away from it. To complicated for a small engine bay and not as effective i my opinion.

for my next project i will be giving it a try. big intercooler, big water resivor, and a heat exchanger about the size of a EG radiator...see how it works...

If I had the cash to give it a try, I would. But as it stands right now, I think that my air to air intercooler is doing a verry good job. I datalog all my driving, and I dont see any benefits to going to a water to air cooler. Especially for a daly driving car.

My front mount ic does a good job, for being a piece of shiet $175 ebay intercooler. ;)

i was thinking about using a cyclone/typhoon air to water intercooler. its not that big. i'v seen some guys used them on some civic projects.

i guess ill pass and go the old way O0

An air/water can be just as affective on the street as a/, but if you can fit a properly sized air/air then I don't like to make things more "complicated" as someone mentioned by using a a/w sure an air/air isn't as fancy or cool to tell your buddies about :) but there are less parts to fail. If you live in a cold climate, you also won't have to remember to make sure there is plenty of antifreeze in the water/air cooling system. It does happen to people as silly as it sounds.

If you don't really have room for a nice air/air, then an air/water is a great option if you can fit the core somewhere. It's easier to run hose than "big" pipe.

Some cars it's easier to hack out some front sheet metal to fit and air/air than it is to fit an air/water core somewhere.
