No personal experience with one, but i think you should try it. O0 Mostly because I'm thinking about it myself and would like to see how well they work. ;)

Re: air vs. water

If it will be daily driven frequently, air/air.

Mostly track use, air/water.

Hotrex made a DSM A/A into a W/A.

Probably cracked or exploded.

Re: air vs. water

I've never been a big fan of the air to water intercoolers. The system just seems to complex to be worth it.

You still have to have a heat exchanger up front to cool the water, then you have to pump it through the intercooler. It's so much easier to just run the air through the heat exchanger up front like a typical FMIC.

The only thing I like about water to air setups is the small size of the actual intercooler. But the complexity of the whole system outweighs that in my opinion.

Re: air vs. water

all of this is going in to my crx. not a lot a room up front for HUGE intercooler. plus it will make it a real nice sleeper= EASY MONEY. haha

also it should fit really nice behind the right head light/battery place.

Re: air vs. water

One of the fastest cars on our dyno used a water to air intercooler. It was a pure drag car. He didn't use pumps or anything. Just a 5 pound bag of crushed ice and a 5 pound brick. At the end of the dyno run the ice turned to warm water. Cool setup!!! Running a tank+pump+cooler would make more sence on the street.
