Could it be that cheep *** flexpipe between your filter and turbo? did you clean that after you cut it?

no thats some kinda polish compond - its speckled all over my engine bay from a incedent with a buffer

ok ya.. didnt know why this wasent so obvious after i was able to twist the turbo slightly but the nut on my vband clamp was not very tight.. tightened it back up and seems ok now but damage may already be done.. we'll see
