AFC Vs SMC
ok guys, here's the deal, i picked up an S-Afc (the crazy one with all the blue ---- on it), but people are telling me that the SMC would be better for what i'm gonna do...
i'd pay about the same price for the SMC, but i want your guys opinion...it really doesn't make sense to me as to why people would say the SMC is better considering the AFC can be modified by 500 rpms... |

I have the SMC, it was like 115 bucks shipped, it is working great now that I have it tuned in and it's very small so it can be tucked away very easily once I have it dynoed. If you want the bling factor than the afc is cool but the SMC will work. Guess it's just which one you want in you car and how much you want to pay.

YEs the SAFC is more safe but if you boost below 8 psi, the SMC will be fine for the price. just install it and go to the dyno and don't even touch it.

From what I have been reading the SMC looks a bit tougher to tune, compared to the AFC.. I personally have had no experience with either, but I have used the Fields hack, and it was incredibly easy to dial in.

whats the difference between the fields and afc? anyone
ive used an afc but never the fields, they usually go pretty cheap used cause everyone wants the apexi does it have all the same adjustments that the safc does? |

fields has -30% to 30% fuel adjustment curve, not as precise as the AFC.. and not nearly as pretty :P
