Re:Adjusting boost
I'll just give you a quick tip...
search through this forum, and I bet you will find your answer.. ;) |
Re:Adjusting boost
ok i searched through, and i found that you just extent the connecting arm betweent actuator and wastegate. Is it as easy as that? but how do you extent the arm and by how much??

Re:Adjusting boost
i have some problem-let me know when you find out how much to extend-email me bedsaul64@surry.net

Re:Adjusting boost
i'll tell youwhat i told turbochargedhondagirl. buy a manual boost controller for like 12 bucks off ebay. or spend 80 for a turboxs kind. i would try to mess with the lengthof your wastegate actuator arm. unless it's adjustable. i don't know which type it is. regardless just still to the old fastioned vacuum boost controller.

Re:Adjusting boost
i was thinking the same thing. why dont you just put an MBC inline from the wastegate actuator to the wastegate... but then i heard that MBCs are only used to ADD boost. if you have a stock 15 psi actuator you can only add more boost with an MBC. you cant cut a 15psi actuator to 5 psi with an MBC. is that true?

Re:Adjusting boost
search the net i read of a MBC made from fitting a spring and a ball bearing from parts at home depot.. its there, just be patient.

Re:Adjusting boost
yah i read about it on the new user FAQ
check that out. what about being to adjust the actuator lower? anyone know anything about that? i thought that MBCs were made to adjust boost higher only. i dont think you can use an MBC to reduce boost... |

Re:Adjusting boost
so basiclly the wastgate opens at the same set psi but your not getting as much boost to the engine because theflapper isn't all the way closed???
did i read that right? |
