adjustable BOV

what is it that you can adjust by using an adjustable BOV? are most adjustable? like greddy/HKS/turboXS?

Re:adjustable BOV

you are adjusting the spring tension, pretty much what takes to make the bov blow off and how much boost it will hold

Re:adjustable BOV

if you loosen the spring you can actually vent psi so that way you can prevent your turbo from spiking.so you can play with it and have it open even at wide open throttle with no vacume. The boost pressure will vent itself if the spring is loose.

Re:adjustable BOV

theoretically could i use it as an opposite boost controller? say my WG is set at 10psi, could I set the BOV to vent at 8psi and stay at 8psi consistantly?

what companies make adjustable BOV's?

Re:adjustable BOV

Never, ever use a blow off valve that leaks below the set boost pressure, it makes your turbo overspin and you'll be making less power due to the fact that the turbo is working extra hard, heating the air up more, and there's more exhaust restriction when the wastegate doesn't open.
