Thanks HMT you guys kick ass, you put up with my stupid questions. it's finally done, i started buying parts in january and slowly pieced together my own junkyard set up. i feel great knowing that i didn't buy the stuff i could make however my welds look like ass.
this project is done now and it's time to start another one.
the next project is 98 civic coupe with a ls turbo. fully built ls 15psi on the street and 20+ on the track. this project will take a few years, but i can see it done already.

thanks guys i'll post pics of it all tomorrow.

oh and i need some new tires cause i can't get traction to save my life. pretty much spins through 2nd. this is my first time driving a turbo car (that didn't come with a factory turbo). i must say i'm hooked.
now i can be a ricer and blow off all the time :8

my name doesn't mean naturally aspirated, but maybe i should change it anyway.

i'll get pics tomorrow, the bumper fitment is off a little where it meets the fenders cause of the intercooler, but that will be fixed this weekend. i also need to hook my turbo timer up, but i'll wait till this weekend to do that also. i have no problem sitting in my car for a few mins before turning off the car.

dispocrx: no the motor is not built, it's a beat to hell dohc zc that will probably blow anyday now. however there is no reason to run less then 10 psi on a $500 motor. like i've said before, it's a d-motor not a gsr or k20. if you break it replace it.
my og plan was to start at 10 psi and keep it there for a few months, then turn up the boost 1psi a month till it blew up, during that time i was going to build a sohc or another zc to run more boost. now i have a new plan.
i'm gonna keep it at 10 psi till it blows or till i finish my 98 coupe project.

i'm racing a mach 1 mustang tomorrow unless the guy chickens out, we raced before my turbo and he got me by a fender. not bad for a car that has less then 2k put into it. now i'm up to about 2.5k with the turbo "kit"
we both know i'm gonna beat him, but i want to see how much faster it is with the turbo.

yeah cause hitting a dash is any different then hitting a firewall :S

i think it's about 4k, i'm not sure yet cause i'm still getting used to not having traction going 60mph

i know that i don't drop out of boost when i shift gears so that is good

yes i have a radio zip tied to the firewall. that one in the pic got stolen, now i have a new one.
here are a few pics i took tonight, i didn't want to get a video cause i'm having issues with my cdm wastegate. well i don't think it's cause it's cdm.
yes i know my bumper is sitting a little off, i need to trim the bumper a little more. i'm gonna wait till my t-bolt clamps get here to take off the bumper.

also a couple things, yeah the outside of the car was painted blue once. when i bought it it was white and i decided to paint it blue, after a couple weeks i wanted it white again so i primered it. i should be painting it white again in a few months.
and i also know that the clear hose on the wastegate is not good, but it's all i had. i'm getting some proper hose tomorrow.

if anyone knows what is going on with my boost in my other thread please let me know

You should see my jpipe... I used 2" pipe and then took a 2.5" pipe and welded the 2" to one side of it then crushed the 2.5" around and laid a big booger weld to seal it up. I'll get a today and put it up... that jpipe is a work of art compared to mine.

yeah i had a pinhole leak at the 2 to 2.5 pipe and no matter how much weld i put on it i still had the leak. so i got some steel putty and put it on that bitch.
so far so good, for my next project i'm getting a better welder.

Ive got pinhole leak in my cracker ass homemade j-pipe too. i dont have any good pics of it but its about a 90 degree bend, 1.5 ID on one end and ~2.5 OD on the other end.

this is the ---- i used. said it good upto 500deg and 700deg intermittent, seems to be holding up good.
i need some tbolt clamps though. i think my charge pipes are gonna blow again tomorrow.

i'm gonna make a camera mount and post a few videos this weekend.

anyone have tbolt clamps for sale, super cheap?
i think i need 2.5" i gotta measure it.

Here's a tip for your coupler problem...go to Napa and ask for the appropriate size hose that's used for large trucks and stuff. I used to use that stuff all the time, it's black 3 ply with an extra cloth layer wrapped around the outside. Use them instead of the cheap couplers you've got and make them at least 4" long for each pipe. I've run them up over 25psi before with no problems but it's a little pricey, something like $8-10 a foot. Or try spraying hair spray around the edges of the pipes...sounds pretty gay but it works! :D
