actuator...sound?

My question is a bit strange. I just have swapped my actuator to one has weaker spring, but my air intake sound changed a lot. It whistles very loud when boost arrives (not the BOV i guess, because the BOV has been not changed).
Also i hear a bit sharp (metallic like) sound as well this time.
Normal sound when there is no boost.

Here is a photo about the new actuator (taken from a Saab)... Turbo is T3/T4B:

As you see on the photo the charge pipe is going right, it makes an U turn and coming back to the IC in bumper. Or did you mean else with asking "how"?

Well I hope you hooked the actuator up before you took it for a test drive. :-X

Sure, it was put on before testdrive :)

Any ideas for the sound?

Mahcivic! Custom made IC.

we were just wondering since you can see the nipple where there should be a line going to the actuator ;)

Ghettoturbo! That nipple/port on the compressor is sealed, not in use.

Is there any chance that any metal part could stuck between compressor or turbine? Though i guess in this case i'd hear that metallic sound all the time. ???

And the car is a '99 1.6VTi (european B16A2 - 4door chassis) :)

Did you try to spray some WD-40 on the moving parts?

Re:actuator...sound?

I have found the prob. One of the couplings got loosen between the compressor and charge pipe and air escaped just exactly at the compressor outlet. This made metallic noise... Arrrrggggh...
