accord auto to 5 speed

well, i just converted my 95 accord vtec from auto to stick last week, the car is running so much better then auto.i'm using H23 tranny. i just bolted on my turbo 2 days ago. car is running so much better using the afc hack. i use to have fmu and missing link. they suck, compare to vafc hack.here is my set up
_SHOULD I TAKE MY CAR TO DYNO TUNE?
-sperco fmic
-turbonetics t3 t4 turbo
-greddy turbo timer
-turbonetics wastegate
-hks bov (old school)
-vafc
-blue top 450cc injectors
-homemade manifold (stainless steel)
well, right now i'm boosting my f22. building a h22a1 on the side, h22 should be done soon.

Cool deal. Got any pics or more details of the swap? I'm sure people around here are interested. Have u considered going with a chipped ECU instead?

Re:accord auto to 5 speed

since you converted to stick, i think u'd be even more satisfied with a chipped civic ecu using uberdata over the afc, which is just fine...

since ur using the afc, what did you do about timing?

and yes id definately get it dyno tuned and wideband o2 tuned on the street

got any basemaps or afc settings you'd like to share?

Re:accord auto to 5 speed

sorry, i didin't take any pics. well, the swap was not that hard. i got everything thing less then 2 days. i ran into a couple problems. like my clutch padle assembly, vehicle wouldn't start after i converted to stick. i had to jump two wires to get it to start. i had to jump two more wires to be able to get my key out of the ignition. i'm still running an auto ecu.
-i learn my lession after i blew my last engine. i crack 3 ring lands, because my timing was not retarted enough. factory setting is 15 btdc and i set my at 7 btdc. the car seem to run good at this time. no knocking or any abnormal noise.
-i just set my vafc at -30 all across. i rather be a little rich then lean. i might get my car tune next week.

Did you scrounge junkyards for all the parts or have an entire donor vehicle to rob all the ---- off of? Clutch pedal assembly, hydralic reevoirs and ----, linkages, mounts.. it all adds up.

Re:accord auto to 5 speed

i got everythign fromm the junk hard for $700. i even got the dis. for the h23a with it. i should be done with my h22a engine soon. i'm just waitting for my f22 to blow up then put in my h22a1 in. h22 set up
-cp pistons (9:1 compression)
-all new gasket, T/belt, H2o pump, skunk 2 intake manifold, aebs head bolts, and retainers.
-blance engine
-that is pretty much about it. i be running 9 psi daily with it

Re:accord auto to 5 speed

what did you do about your timing? cause you kno the afc advances it...

how much boost you runnin?

Re:accord auto to 5 speed

i'm running 9 psi. my factory timing is 15 btdc, i just retarted to 7 btdc.

Re:accord auto to 5 speed

retarding timing to 7btdc like that is gonna make you pretty sluggish out of boost I would imagine. I would seriously consider going with a chipped ecu. Its so much better man.

Re:accord auto to 5 speed

i would say go with uberdata too. although i know how frustrating it is to get it to work on an accord. its not all hand fed like it is with a civic/teg. and it can make you get frustrated and just use an AFC because its easier and works.
