99 Civic Manifold....
Ok so I found a 99 civic manifold are the exhaust openings the same as the HF or STD style. It is just a littlediff more flow design.. havent had time totake cat off tho wich does site vertical
and it has 2 o2 sensors I think it was a 2 wire and a 3 wire but ive never heard of a 2 wire. is this the stock 5wire wideband setup thati heard some peeps talking about? Ill verify this tommrow when i go backout inthe blistering cold garage :) |

does anyone else agree that it looks way to low and the oil is gonna have trouble getting back into the pan without a sump setup? |
Re:99 Civic Manifold....
NO, Just cut it where the pipes come together and weld an adapter plate to it. That is what I am going to do.

Re:99 Civic Manifold....
similar to Emil's setup.. a hacked newer style manifold..
btw, it is cast iron.. Jeff |

Re:99 Civic Manifold....
bwhahaaahaha.
So If I hack it just below the O2 sensor and weld what kind of adapter plate? it will have to be the part I cut offf so their both the same metal right? Or will steel hold to thte cast iron if I hard core mig then go over with stick?.... |
Re:99 Civic Manifold....
just do a nice strong mig weld that should hold fine
|
Re:99 Civic Manifold....
stick is the best way to weld onto cast
|
Re:99 Civic Manifold....
OK now im really confused. MIG or do anice fatty with the stick?
I heard stick will be the strongest for cast.... SoI cut a steel adapter plate and weld to the cast with a stick welder? highest setting I persume... THX guys. also what thickness of steel material? |
