they have big a/rs on the exhaust side and they are different side. id only use one or the other but not both, but they are tough to find parts for. I believe youd need to get a manifold made to support an rx7 turbo because nobody makes one (at least that i know of) with an RX7 hitachi turbo flange on it. Im not really sure what psi the wastegates run either. If i were you id convert to a civic ecu and run crome with 450cc mitsubishi injectors etc, maybe a walbro fuel pump for good measure. That setup would be more than enough for stock bottom end accord in terms of fuel delivery and tunability. I personally run an SAFC and 450ccs with a walbro and an MSD BTM but i would NOT reccomend this setup for over 9-10 psi, plus converting to a civic ecu is cheaper and much better to tune.

I might be wrong, but I think the twins on the rx7's are really one big chunk. The two turbine housing are cast as one piece. So using just one of the turbo's will be a bit hard to do. And I would imaging fitting them both in the honda's engine compartment would be a real pain. I would just toss them on ebay and then find something that wil work a little better.

I found a picture of one(both) of them. It might be doable to use just one but it looks to be a real PITA

You can separate the units and use just one. I separated one of mine and made the necessary flanges to make them work. You would definitely have to make a custom manifold to use them both. The a/r's on the hot sides aren't really all that large unless you use both of them. The combined size might make it difficult to spool them both. If using just one you shouldn't have any issues with lag. I went with a larger single turbo because the hitachi ht-12's just seem small.
Where are you located? Are you interested in selling the twins? Email me at morganf1@charter.net and include price, condition, and pics of possible. I wouldn't mind having a spare set for my fd.

Yeah it's my baby. It's under covers in the garage right now and up on jack stands. I bought the thing used back in 97 with only 410 miles on the clock! It's been a great car. No problems in the 39k I've put on it. I have a Greddy t-78 kit w/tial 46mm (instead of the damn crappy greddy gate) endless racing zeal coilovers, microtech lt8, aquamist h2o injection, blah blah blah and I haven't gotten to use any of them yet because I want to give the engine a large street port and possible partial peripheral port. I have an 85 that just received a full blown peripheral port which should be good for 270-310hp NA depending on how well I did
If I like the full peripheral port on the 12a then I may go with a partial on the 13brew.
Well, I got off topic there.

I have been contemplating buying a 1st gen Rx7 to build a all motor drag car with.I had a few 1st gen Rx7's years ago and they are such a fun car to drive.Peripheral ports sound absolutely ------- nasty, I love it.I miss rotaries My Civic will be super fast come spring but it still lacks that fun factor of a light weight rwd car.

i have rebuilt the engine to make it alot tougher for more boost so far i have complete gasket set, set of pistons and rings, main bearings, rod bearings, thrust washers, timing belt, balance shaft bearings, and a set of expansion plugs. Pistons & Ringss:.040. Bearings: 30. it also has forged piston rods and pistons. i do believe it will handle up to 20lbs of boost.
