Man, your thread is too long(I fell asleep last night thru half of it)...But I must say you really want to turn your clamps around, I did that on my Honda(No welder at the time) and it got caoght on a low spot and ripped it off. Needless to say, it was time for an upgrade! But your project looks awsome!

so when is this puppy gonna run? lookin good. have you thought about using fire shielding on those brake lines

 

Or house insulation

 

put some ---- around your spark plug wires too, id be afraid if burning something up.
