I just picked up a clean(sort of) 91 Prelude SI that runs like a top. My question is does anyone know anything about these cars. What kind of following do they have. Is it worth it to do a turbo kit for them. Does anyone bother with them because they are so heavy. It looks like it would be an easy install, there is room for everything. Just wanted some input before I decide what to do with it. I am having the same problem deciding what to do with the Dodge Neon but thats another story.

the lude has a pretty stout engine, but it's going to be tough to find a manifold.
If you want to do the neon, there are pleanty of resources for it. but build the block before you go too far...

I think the real goal you have here is profit. I believe that the neon will bring u a much bigger take when it's complete versus the predule. If you can fab the manifold yourself, the HMT kit wouldn't be that bad on it, but do you think you can get that bitch sold for a good amount when you're done?

Is it one of the ones with 4 wheel steering?

The 4 wheel steering was in 88 or 89, this is a 91 so no 4ws. The manifold is no problem I build them all the time. The goul is to have a kit to add to the product line on the web site. I just added the Neon SR4-T upgraded intercoolers,first gen DSM intercooler and piping kit, and RX-7 TT intercooler and piping kit is coming soon. I think its time to add turbo kits to the line up. I will be adding them as the cars come available to me. I will be doing the write up and posting pics here as they go.

I just gave you the link for the forums, but most of the people there have 3rd gens. In fact, I would say that 80 percent of them own 3rd gens. A lot of the people on there have turbo setups on their 3rd gens. From reading some of the stories you can make some pretty good power and times with a turbo setup on a 3rd gen lude. I'd turboed the Neon before the prelude, just because there's a larger market for the neons and also because the 91 prelude engine sucks...

93 prelude (H-series) has a different engine than the 91 (B20A -- Not the same as the B20B and B20Z)

I THINK you might could make some money with a kit for the Lude....lots of ppl have those cars, but can't do ---- with them 'cause their isn't alot of aftermarket support...I know where SEVERAL of those cars are at just sitting, I might would pick one up for cheap if I knew I could turbo it...If nothing else you'd be one of the few ppl(the ONLY person I know) with one of those Preludes w/ a turbo....and oh yeah...NEONS SUCK!!!

Thats what I was thinking. There are lots of message boards and clubs for the Lude but not much for them in the aftermarket. I love driving them, this one is loaded, every option you can get. Oh yey, you are right Neons suck I cant stand driving that thing. I am definitely doing a kit for the Lude. I will do the Neon first. Watch for the post of the build up.
