Re:90-93 B18A1 Block In a EK??
Why would you use a older block in a newer car?
Any B-series tran. will work. exc. 94-00 LS Gsr B16 |
Re:90-93 B18A1 Block In a EK??
because its not old anymore. Its fully built to handle 20-30 psi. Only problem now is finding a trans to match the block and the chassis

Re:90-93 B18A1 Block In a EK??
Doesn't any hydro b-series tranny work? I think so, anything from what, 94+ on tegs should work.

Re:90-93 B18A1 Block In a EK??
any b series trans will fit, but you will want a hydro trans since you're car is already equipped for a hydro (94 and up i believe), you can use one off a b16, b18, b20, any thing you want.

BTW, how does this have anything to do w/ Forced Induction? ??? We all know what to do to a head valvetrain etc, but what about the block. Do sleeves help? lightweight rods? special conn, main bearings and thrust bearings help? certain oil/water pump? If anyone has brand names to do such a thing let me know I want to start building more of these b18 blocks for very high rpm and boost. |

Re:90-93 B18A1 Block In a EK??
Do you really want to run the risk of spinning a motor to 10k rpms and have it be reliable? Stick with your current built LS block and call it a day man.
