maybe you should try swapping it instead of taking pictures and saying it wont work. i have a volvo .63 exhaust housing on that EXACT same turbo. dont say it wont work

If this was a .63/.60 from a 300zx yes you could swap the housings but this can't be look at the pictures there is a huge size difference look at the turbine wheels the nissans is half the size of the garret...I can just look at these and tell you it won't work properly, some infor I've been coming across says this is probably a T25

what he has is a t25, cause i've pull a t3 off a nissan and it looks bigger, same as the thunderbird that came with t3 60.63, i switch the t3 compressor housing off the thunderbird for the nissan t3, easy to work with since the thunderbird had a long outlet from the compressor housing

But again, how do you know it isn't a t28? My buddy has a couple t28's from a skyline and they aren't any larger in size than this "mystery turbo" we have all been discussing. I know the compressor on both is a .42 a/r .....not sure about the turbine but I think it's a .48 on the mystery unit and probably the same or close on the t28.
I'm still looking for documentation as proof of what this thing is. If someone can provide just that then please do.

If it's from an 88 onward, it's a T25. 88 and prior had 60/63 trim T3s. TT Z cars have T22s, J. Davis has mentioned these are by and large the same as a T25, but I havn't looked into it. I had what was supposedly an 89 turbo beside a KKK K26 off an old 5 cyl. Audi, was pretty much the same size, and that compressor could flow quite a bit of air, so I've never been entirely sure of what it was.

T28's come off of JDM spec Silvia's or something like that, and possibly some other Nissans. Joeseph Davis seems to know his Nismo ---- more than most, shoot him a PM.

Yes, the 84-87 300zx had a t3, but 88-89 models had the t25.
