87 grand national turbo ?'s

Well, after talking to some people, I've been told that the second gen eclipse turbo would be too small from my B16 ( corect me if i'm wrong). I could possibly get a stock turbo from an 87 Grand National, but I can't find any info on them. Can anyone help me out? Is this turbo too big, or comparable to a mid-sized T3? Thanks

The turbo on my 84 GN can spool upwards to 15 psi factory. This was previous to the intercooler install which came in the later years (so later years might use a different turbo, not sure). Anyways I am pretty sure this turbo is capable of running upwards to 20 psi on its own - but I can't be positive on it. Maybe I can get a picture of it, if I can get the permissions from my grandmother to let me in the shed :)

This turbo would be a really good size for what you want. Too bad they have fucked up 3 bolt flanges

T3/T4 .63 exhuast

The Intercooled GN made 245hp and 355FT./LBS of torque on stock boost with it.

So if i'm reading this correctly, this turbo would be great for my application, I would just have to fabricate an exhaust flange? Does anyone know what the stock psi was? I'll be running the hack, so I can't boost over 10 psi. Plus, i'm running stock internals, and i don't want to blow my engine. MAybe a thicker headgasket would help?

Thanks for the help so far

I think the GN turbo might be to big for a starter on a Honda. The throttle body, and intake pipe sizes are alot smaller for a Honda then they are on the GN (factory). So the turbo will end up ------ing more "boost" but the same "CFM". If that makes any sense.
I am not sure if you will be able to set it to 10 psi or not :(
