if you didn't already know, i'm a 240 series volvo nut.

i don't remember any of the diesels having turbos in that specific year (well not in the 240 series).

Im pretty sure the disels had turbos.
check out www.turbobrick.com (Volvo Heaven)

I used to rock a Volvo. It was tite. It had a lugage rack and 13 inch spinners.

Then I got booted from the house.

O well someday I'll get another 240.

The problem with the Volvo turbos is the messed up flange. To use it without leaking is to machine that lip they have. Just find a Saab. It's easier to get the turbo, doesn't have the wierd flange, and usually has the same specs.

Yea, same place has a sabb, and a 2.2L dodge turbo that still have the turbos on them.

The dodge on is a bitch to get. I've taken one off a newer gas engined volvo before.

yeah I'm familiar with the volvo brickboards, I've worked in volvo eclusive garages before, between me, my brother and my dad we have had 8 volvos (all 240 series) with 3.5 of them remaining.

The chrysler 2.2L is most likely a T3, find out what year, the '86-87 ones are nice to have.
