.52 A/R Compressor housing?
anyone ever heard of a .52 housing on a garrett turbo? I just got this turbo .48/.52 today for free from a friend at a european auto shop. It has a T3 flange but it has this circle indention to mate to the manifold but still has a rectangular inlet. I think i will just mill the flange down. Anyone know what car this might be from?

Re:.52 A/R Compressor housing?
300ZX come with .52 AR housing over a .60 trim wheel. They always come with .63 AR turbine side, so the housing may have been swapped around.
Some Mercedes 300 diesels get .51 AR compressor housings... from what I remember, which is often pretty fucked. There is a chance they get .52 AR because a .48 AR would suit a diesel engine of that size. If it's a Mercedes unit, I can't even guess about the compressor wheel trim. Got any part numbers off the turbo? I have a friend who's pretty handy with such things. |

Re:.52 A/R Compressor housing?
The only match I'm getting for the Garrett PN is 466672-1, a TB0363 off 87-90 Volvo 700 series (good guess, Jeff). 1367867 also matches up (mostly - 1367866/8) as an OEM PN (meaning Volvo PN. My information is for euro cars, so that would explain the difference.
