500 HP from a 60-1?
I am trying to decide what turbo to use for my race car (Built B16)..I would like to have something capable of 400-600 HP. (want to get 10's from this car...)
I have been thinking about a T3/60-1, but I am not sure if a .63 or a .82 exhaust side would work better. I know that the .82 would be able to make the power, but will it spool too late to be realistic? (I DO NOT want to use any bottle) That's what is making think about the .63. Anybody used anything on a B16 with a T3 .82 A/R....Any other suggestions on turbos are welcomed also...I am trying to stay in the $700-$900 range...SC61? GT35R?

Re: 500 HP from a 60-1?
im just gonna throw this out there......t66 ptrim 50a/r capable of 550hp, probably looking at around $1800 though.....a gt35r will be around the same price and hp range.....sc61 would be my choice shearly for the price (cheapest) and capability (highest hp rating)

I'd also recommend and SC61. Similar to a GT35, but you can usually find the standard 360 thrust bearing ones for well under $1k. Local guy put down just over 400 awhp in his evo with a SC61. That was on pump gas, and all wheel power on a low reading Dyno Dynamics. That is going to be my next turbo once I ditch my SCM50.
