Hey guys I have a Honda CRX with a D16A8 Engine, I was looking at a cheap ebay turbo kit and only running it on 5 PSI, will I need bigger injectors or new ECU Ive also heard that they are poorley made turbos but Im only gonna run 5 PSI would it still break

you need 450cc blue top injectors and you need to chip your ecu for boost
with that turbo , you might be abe to get away with it on 5psi

ok any sujestions on waht type of chip and where I can get it from in Australia? will I also need some internal work done?

Im in Melbourne , what area you from?
With only 5 psi you can leave the internals stock. I've got a mate in NZ that can burn you a chip for your ecu
Otherwise PaRaDoX on here (also from melbourne) could possibly also do it

If its just the chip your'e after I can make you a basemap .. you can run the car on that but have to get it tuned ..
Can add features such as launch control , new reff cut and remove the speed cut.
Get some blue top 450cc injectors from a vr4 , are you running internal or external gate?

I found some chips and a chip writer on that website, Whats the best way to turbo a D16A8 engine and its stock as a rock, any ideas

p.s i need it the HMT way cos im so outa cash

If you know how to use the chip writer , thats fine .. remember you also have to tune it using the basemap that you created.You will need the following parts
Turbo
Manifold
External gate or just use the stock internal gate that comes with the turbo ( have to modify the actuator tho)
450cc blue top injectors
downpipe from the turbo
oil feed and oil drain line
intercooler plus piping , joiners and clamps
Thats basically what you need to get boosting , plus a chipped ecu and a good tune

sink trap your stock mani and hit up some junkyard for turbo's ic's bovs and piping or do the piping yourself
