my outlet diameter on my exhuast side of the turbo measures 2.5 inches... I will be using a 3 inch downpipe, so what diameter outlet do i want to get for a T3 5 bolt exhaust flange? should i go with a 5 bolt flange with a 3.0 inch outlet diameter?, 2.75 inch?, or 2.5 inch? does it really matter even? thanks.

 

just go with the 2.75 or 3", less restrictive, internal or external gate?

 

either way there will be a step to the 3" dp. with the 3" flange your dp will have to be right on. with the smaller sizes you will have some room to weld with.

 

its externally gated. alright, ill probably go with the 2.75 " so i have some room for the welding like whiterice suggested. Thanks doods

 

I see all these t3 5 bolt discharge flanges for my turbo. Which one do i need. I read that many 5 bolt discharge flanges are different...? help meh. thanx

 

what is the turbo out of?? they make different flanges for ford and merecedes turbos

 

it's the ford style... off a t-bird

 

i see the mercedes type look different then the other 5 bolt flanges ive been looking at, but then theres 2 others that look similar but slight differences in the shape. says for t3/t4?
