5.9l turbo
ok..this might be a dumb question, but would a stock holset turbo for a 5.9l dodge diesel engine work on a 3.9? Im planning on up to 15lbs of boost. I only wonder because i can get one for real cheap but i need to know if the diesel would be way to big

The Holset will be WAY too big. A 5.9 gas is going to flow 2.0 litres more air than the 3.9 anyway, then being diesel on top of that, it's made to run on an engine that has even more exhaust flow (according to my machinist/ dyno owner friend Tom Lesperance- Centerfold of Sport Compact Car Dec 2002). I'm planning on using the turbo from a 2nd gen RX-7 on my 3.9. That turbo is suited for a ~3.625 litre piston engine. You shouldn't have much problem finding something equivalent though- maybe a big T3, a T4, or something like that.
