Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
Same one i'm going to us on my LS.
60/48. I'd assume the spool would be pretty good, and it should pull all the way to redline. |
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
its would be perfect
|
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
same one im using on the b16 ;D

Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
I want one for my ZC, but I'm broke!

Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
this is a good turbo for a LS engine,up to a certiant amount of boost. how much power are u wanting to make? how much boost will u have to run to make that power? but this is a good turbo to start with.

Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
it will work just fine for a ls. Spool nice and fast

Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
sweet. can't wait to put the bitch on. im sure it'll be way better then the tiny ass turbo i have right now. it runs out of steam at like 6k. i plan on running around 9-11 psi. hoping to beat the rest of the street cars in my area that i can't beat. ls-v hatch puttin down 215hp to the wheels that i can't beat and a built gsr turbo hatch i can't beat.
|
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
if you can get a good deal on it do it! it will be nice and make a sweet amount of midrange. you can get your psi goals out of it as well.

Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
Im using a T3 from 86-87 300zx suppose to have an a/r of 60/63
|
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
when is it going on? call me up when you do it! i'll beat those fuckers with you when my new setup is on ;D :P
|
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
uhm those hatches are light as heck and can do high 12's in the quarter mile with 215whp. Not sure what you drive, but if you drive a hatch, you'll do just fine with either one. If you chasis is alot heavier, you better up the boost on your LS.
To reiterate, T3 .60/.48 will spool just fine on the LS. On the b16, full boost around 3.5-4k and all the way to redline. Boost level does not drop at all. |
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
I have the .63/.60 on my LS.. works great, 9psi@4000 rpm with a log manifold.

Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
Yep, thats the first turbo I ever ran on an LS. I loved it honestly. It started spooling about 3000RPM and would have full boost by 4k. Great size for an LS. SInce then I've stepped up to a T3/T4e and am just as happy.

Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
That should work nicely we hooked up a B16a2 with a .48 .60 and it does real nice. But not near as good as the .50 .70 on the B20. ;D

Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
What is a t3 60/48 rated at how much power can they handle??
|
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
Not exactly sure how much hp it can handle but it will hold up to around 300whp.
Last dyno I did was around 207whp untuned at 7psi. I will be dynoing again in the new future and should be putting down around 230-240 at 8psi and hope to hit at least 250whp with 10-12psi. I'll let you know though. On the LS, depending on the boost expect about 30whp less than the b16's at almost any boost level but just realize you will have much more torque. |
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
I really want this turbo!!! could any one PLEASE tell me what i need to know inorder to find one???? right now i no its a T3 60 trim and 48 a/r ?
-is there more to this? -what car do they come out from? - more info u give me the better thanks alot..... |
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
the T3 .63/.60 and T3 .48/.60... both will work fine with any B-series. The .48 will just spool slightly earlier than the .63 but the .63 will have more of kick to it when the boost does come on. It just depends on what you want... These two turbos are NOT significantly different. Either way both will make a stock B-series engine very happy. =)
I have to admit I'm pretty damn happy with my setup... Dont grab until 3rd gear and thats only 8psi and with pretty decent Yokohama tires. |
Re:.48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
sorry im varry new but i see a turbo called a TO4E 60/48 a/r is that the same as a garett t3 60/48 ? what does TO4E mean? thanks so much bud...

Re: .48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
Im wondering the same thing. Should i go with a Super 60 .48 T3 or this T3/TO4E? On an ls that is.
|
Re: .48 ar .60 compressor to small for my LS?
I'm not completely sure about the Super 60 because I've never had one, but I run a T3/T4E on my new LS setup and I enjoy it better than the .60/.48 t3 I used to run. It's got quick spool time just like the T3 had (full boost by 4000-4200ish) and pulls hard on the top end. I have yet to actually dyno tune it so I'm not 100%sure of what it's capabilities are yet, but I'm happy with it.
