400whp on a LS Motor
what size turbo would i have to run to make 400whp on a ls motor with a stock head on pump gas
if it is even possible thanks richie |
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
sc61, t3/t67 t3 62-1 anything really big youll need a built block tho
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
i have the build block
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
start porting ur head
hopefully ull be done by next fall |
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor

Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
t3 gt40 blowzilla :o :o :o
gt25/40r 76 trim i've seen ls motors that can handle crazy boost |
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
That's gonna be hard with a stock head. But a SC61 or really big Garrett should get you to 400hp with lots of boost and maybe a set of cams.

Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
i guess its off to ls/vtec then

Haha, who wants a challenge Trance? :)

Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
I do, I do. ;) I don't know, there's just something about built LS' that give me a smile.
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
I enjoy nonvtecs
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
im going to be starting up my built ls motor tonight ill let you all know what kinda mumbers i make when i go to the dyno i have everything needed to achive that goal of 400whp
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
well i just bought a jg engine dynamics pro series head
with super tech springs and retains and valves crower 402t cams ported type-r intake manifold made to fit a b18b head should be here friday |
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
what about 100+ octane?
400 hp on 91 pump? ... BOOM |
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
---- a challenge, ls/vtec it is.. or in my case b18c1......
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
18-19psi on a t3t4 will get you there on stock head....but you need forged internals and a good tune
unless you want a big BOOOOOOOOOM! get pistons and rods |
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
just get some forged pistons/rods, stock sleeves will handle the power for a while. get a huge t3/t67, some 1100cc injectors and just keep cranking up the boost til you reach 400whp, save the dyno sheet, then turn the boost down before you get off the dyno b/c the sleeves won't last long with that much power.
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
400WHP is possible on the stock b1 head. There is a guy over on team-integra.net that made close to 420whp on the stock head and stock intake manifold.
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
Reguardless what head configuration you decide to go with, I'd definatly suggest a SC61 (t3) that turbo has proven itself countless times making great power on our engines.
My opinion about the head, I wouldnt even ---- around with a ls head, I've thrown so many of those heads in the garbage. Vtec heads will bring a big smile to your face when your ripping though the gears on a 400+whp honda. |
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
non vtec blows my sack
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
Didn't roids shrink your sack? How does a 400whp non Vtec blow compaired to your "non turbo" GSR? ;)
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
it still blows, and my sack still hangs to my knees steve, you know that, remember the other night when i had it sittin on your chin?
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
How can I forget? Next time I'm trying to get up in your new girls poonanny, stay the hell out of the way :D

Re: 400whp on a LS Motor

this isn't general discussion bitches........... ::)

Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
HEY
stay on topic ;D |
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
True, very true... So, how about my 400WHP LST? ;) :-*
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
i know the rods wont but with a good tune how long will the pistons last??????
|
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
yeah I like the ls motors too,
I know mostly dseries stuff though, so i'm wondering, will you be able to make 400 on a stock vtec bseries head without much problems? or are you going to need porting, cam, etc on that too? |
Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
It's very doable. Alot of guy's like to run the stock B16 or type R cams in their Vtec heads because they work so well under boost. Of course porting and polishing/ a set of aftermarket turbo cams would increase your power and torque, but 400 whp on the stock Vtec head is possible. Alot of it is in the tuning aspect of the setup though.

Re: 400whp on a LS Motor
there is alot of people making like 500whp on stock vtec head
