4.3L Turbo- Need some Help
I have been on the bottle in my 2002 4.3L blazer for a while and still cutting only 8.67 in the 1/8th mile which is good for mid 13's but still i would like a little more- superchargers are EXPENSIVE and make minimal hp as well as dont sound as cool as a turbocharger
But i have some basic questions-
1.)The turbo- i am looking into an ssautochrome.com 60-1 Turbocharger which is about the same size a C17 off of a syclone/typhoon (which are very hard to find even on syty.net)- This is the Turbo- WILL IT SPOOL TO 5200RPM redline ?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-T...51502375QQrdZ1
I will be making my own cross over for the turbo using both banks of cylinders instead of 1-
2.)My motor already has a 2-bar sensor on it, but i only have 19lbs injectors that are unupgradable because they are poppet style...... (GAY)- anyways the supercharger are fine running 11psi on stock injectors BUT i know that a turbo moves more CFM therfore requiring more fuel so im thinking 7 to 9 PSI will be good intercooled-
Do you guys think so?
3.)Also im looking to keep the spray- not to spool the turbo up- its no T88- should i make it into an intercooler spray or just spray a 50wet shot (i was thinking spray a 50 wet shot with a step bigger on teh fuel side to help with the a/f ratio)
4.)Now i know that i need an FMU- But if i get a Tune for a turbocharger make the need for an FMU go away?
5.) To get oil to the turbo- do i need an oil pump of some sort? The turbo will be level or bellow the oil pan does this make a difference?

ok i'll do my best to answere some of your questions.
1st. dont buy ssac, the reason why it seem cheap is because it is, its all cheaply made and ussually hit or miss on your items. also with 4.3l diplacement i would say that it would be cutting it close for 5200 rpms. others can answere this better.
2nd. as long as you keep the effeincy of the injectors under 80% at WOT you should be fine with fuel.
3rd. this will be debated but unless you have a built motor/ or you know your stuff on liquid hp i would avod the mix of both of them. to me it seem like way to much comp on stock internals but do what you will.
4th. The need for a fmu should never go away tuned or untuned.
5th. The engine provides enough psi at the bottom end to move oil in and out of the turbo. i wouldn't recomend anything over 8psi. the pan should be fine just make sure to get a turbo timer for after wot runs to prevent savage coking.
hope this help, im sure nchatch or hotrex could expand on this topic as i am only a pee-on.

Im a noobe too and just starting a custom turbo in a 4.5l toyota 6 cyl. im using a t04e 46 trim .70ar intake .83ar exhaust used garret turbo. I considerd the same turbo you are looking at. if you look on a turbo map of for a 60-1 you will see it will probably be ok unless you are running lower boost in which case it may choke out
Again I am nooby and you shouldn't listen to me
