Default 3inch exhaust

I have a 2 1/2 inch down pipe with the same size straight pipe. Im woundering if a 3 inch straight pipe and leaving the down pipe the same size would make a big difference?

I just finished a custom 3" mandrel bent exhaust on my '99 Civic EX and I can tell a world of difference! If I had a better clutch in my car, it would break the tires loose in second gear but it wouldn't do it before the 3"...I'll take some pix of it and post it up when I get my camera from work.

Thought the same thing.

@190hp, 3" might only make you spool faster, not more power.

at the crank!

he's got my old car and it made 164.x on 8psi at the wheels...now it's running 15psi and he 'guesstimated' the 190 from what others running similar setups are putting down. maybe his butt dyno is out of calibration

here's a link....and btw that's not me in the background.

'99 Civic EX Coupe
Stock D16Y8
GReddy 15g kit @ ~12psi
2.5" KTeller Downpipe
AEM Fuel Rail
B&M FPR
JRC FMIC
XTD Stage I Clutch
3" Mandrel Bent exhaust w/o cat

The clutch is super shitty. It slips like crazy if I get into it at all! I have an Exedy Stage I at my work that I plan on putting in this weekend. Boost is set at about 12 psi but it falls off at higher rpms to about 9.5psi b/c the little 15g can't keep up.
