30 psi boost gauage
yesterday saw two different kind boost gauage
both made by autometer...showing 30 in/g vaccume and 30 pis boost... but one of them has the needle rested at 30ing vaccume and the other one rested at 0.. where are the different?.... |
Re:30 psi boost gauage
You sure they both measured vacuum? Maybe thats just how Autometer sets up one of their guages.
|
Re:30 psi boost gauage
Mine rests at 0. dunno.
|
Re:30 psi boost gauage
don't buy one that is not set at 0.
i have seen ones that have been dropped that are not correct. some boost gauges don't have vacuum and just have boost on one side. i would go with the 30/30 one you saw. I have a vdo one from summit racing for $27.95 http://store.summitracing.com/partde...=VDO%2D150063D |
Re:30 psi boost gauage
dude but u know what i think they made it liek that because they have different part no.
the one i mention is 4777: http://www.autometer.com/hp/2003_cat..._art/4777.html OH U KNOW WHAT just took a clear look i think it has memory and cos $2xx!!!? um...um.. |
Re:30 psi boost gauage
they wouldn't show a fucked up one tryin to sell them lol
it probably just rests at 30 vacuum istead of the normal 0/0 |
Re:30 psi boost gauage
I bought one that was an autometer ultra-lite series. You could chose from two.... Both had the 30psi Vac, and one had 20 psi boost and one had 30.
I went with the 20psi boost max becaue I wont be hitting that and the numbers are larger and easier to read. Hope that helps |
Re:30 psi boost gauage
The reason it's not at 0 is because it's an electric gauge and not mechanical. That particular guage has a memory and also a warning feature.
Do not buy a mechanical gauge that is not set at 0. |
Re:30 psi boost gauage
hey its fun to think you're running 30 psi instead of 5 with those mechanical ones that aren't set right :)
