yes.

3 inch baby.

but seriously i wouldnt go smaller than 2.5. 3 is the way to go. hell, if i could fit a 4inch downpipe id do it. the bigger the better with turbos.

2.5 inch is perfect for Hondas/Acura. 3 inch is a bit too big unless you planning to do some heavy modifications to the engine?

Exactly.. 2.5 is just fine.. but if you can fit a 3in in there and your looking for some quick spool times go for it!

2 in is a tad small, but I have done some setups like that, it will be ok.

I'm using a stock downpipe for this stupid chrysler turbo...but I'm planning on stepping it up to 2.5 then to 3" with pipe connectors right after the flange.

Will that work or is that a bad idea as well?

It would be better to get a custom one made that's 3" right off the turbo. What you're doing will work, just not as well.

if youre gonna get one made...go with 3 inch. you cant go too big with turbos. the less backpressure the better. it doesnt seem like this would make any sense...but even if you had a 3inch downpipe and cat and then went to 21/2 inch catback, it would be worth the money.

there is just more area inside the pipe, which means the same force can be put through it and there will be less pressure. does that make sense?

go 3inch all the way if you can. youll thank me.

why do you guys go for 2.5? there is no harm in putting a 3 inch downpipe. only better.
