240xs t25 on a b16a
b16a jdm 1st gen stock everything. compression test was in the 230s so i'm guessing there's a BUNCH of carbon on the pistons that's adding to the compression since most b16s do like 190-210psi on the compression tester.
the potential setup is just a nissan 240sx t25 and HKS log manifold w/ 2.25" downpipe and exhaust, starion intercooler w/ 2" or 2.25" piping, dsm bov, turbo edit ecu, etc. what kind of hp can i expect and what kind of boost does this turbo put out with the stock wastegate settings? sorry if the question is pretty broad. could i hit like 200whp with 8-10psi after tuning the turbo edit? (i am just assuming it'll prolly go 8-10psi without a boost controller) thanks! |
Re:240xs t25 on a b16a
get a real turbo for that engine....I've seen setups on stock blocks make 250hp on 8-10 psi.
That turbo is to small IMO...after 6800-7000 rpm the turbo Will die and the car will be slow. |
Re:240xs t25 on a b16a
got myself a T3 .60/.48 The T25 is pretty small for the b16 but if you want quick spool, I'd stick with it. For my b16, full boost of 5psi at the moment is reached by about 3.5-4k which is a lot higher than I had anticipated.

Re:240xs t25 on a b16a
which turbo spools at 3.5-4.0k? the t3 or the t25?

Re:240xs t25 on a b16a
the T3 .60/.48 spools too full boost at 3.5k-4k. pulls hard to redline.
