2005 gt mustang remote twin turbos project status

So far I have the Turbos mounted when the Mufflers normally go, they actually use the existing mounts.

I finished the design for the oil return, I fabricated a system to catch the return oil then pump it up through the oil drain plug. I had to relocate the drain plug, no biggie, after the electric pump there will be a inline filter and then a 2 psi check valve so the oil from the pan doesnt come back through the pump and turbos. Same thing for the oil feed line, there is a filter and 2 psi check valve so the oil doesnt bleed into the turbos after the car .

looks sweet dude! wish I had room fro twins but im an F-body, so ill have to make sue with the T76 in the back ;)
but for sure, props for self fabbing it yourself. ive been doing the same on my 98 LS1 TA. its 99% complete. I just gotta get a retune do to moving from 4000ft ASL in el paso tx to about 800 here in wisconsin lol im running ridiculously rich lol 9.9 at WOT lol need to lean it up a tad.

I will say, you still might want to reconsider having the return above your oil in the pan. you will run into drain back issues and oil in your turbo and pipes. make sure you have a quality scavenger like a Turbowerx EXA-pump or something like that to handle the oil duty. rear mounts have a nasty habit of being oil consumers due to poor scavenger selections. also, don't bother with having it switch between high and low. Constant fully on is where its at. not sure how you plumbed yours but I have my scavenger set up where its primed when the key is turned at the same time as the fuel pump. if you need any help, let me know.

also, a work on wastegate springs, not sure on mustangs but since its a V8, id still say you gonna run into an issue with low boost springs in that don't pick too small of a spring. anything lower then 8lbs is usless. we create way more backpressure at idle then a IL4 or V6 that we actually can crack open the wastegate before we even get on it, which if you can guess the rests, causes you to try and fill that void with more boost that creates a never ending cycle of not boosting enough off idle when you wanted in the first place. think of it this way, you are trying to fill a space with air but it keeps escaping while your trying to fill it at the same time creating a bigger hole as the pressue builds at the same time. you never reach your target goal and get frustrated and pissed I tried using a 4lbs spring and I couldn't get thte damn thing to boost past 0psi. I have a large 8 and a small 10 and and I have fine tuned it with a MBC to 10psi. just a thought just in case you run intot he same issue.

Wrap your exhaust pipe!! your turbos will thank you for it!!

I see you have your gates referenced to the compressor. this will be "ok" but seeing actual boost pressure form the manifold is better and more acturate. also will take into account the loose from the intercooler.

INTERCOOL IT!! as big as you can fit!! I got an ebay 31x12x3. you wont be sorry

Water/meth inject it! snow makes a good kit, but im using a simple on off at 7psi switch for myself running -30 blue washerfluid, while using the washer reservoir as my tank :) works perfect :)

Make sure your filters are as big as you can fit on the turbos, you don't want your turbos starving and make sure they get cleaned every so often. with the filters so close to the ground, they suck up a lot of dirt and get saturated fast. your car will feel like it crap if the filters are clogged.
