Fuel management is $400US for the chip/programmer, then you have to buy 42.5lbs injectors ~$200 then you have to buy a new MAF ~$200 so you're at $800 just for fueling.

There is no other way to do it, this is the "right" way.

you can't use a FMU, you can't do a AFC hack, you could do a 5th injector but i don't advise it.

this is the one main problem with the Focus is the fuel management but if you buy a chip as above you're set.

No free eeprom software for the focus unfortunately.

also its returnless fuel system unlike honda's. they are alot more complicated ECU/Fuel wise, othe then that, whack on a T3 or 14B to the stocky manifold, PCV pipes with a DSM sidemount and feel the HMT.

Re: 2000 Focus Zetec

I've built a turbo set-up for a 99 Mercury Cougar with a 2.0 Zetec. Pretty much the same motor as the Ford Focus, but it has Variable Cam Timing (VCT).

Check out the thread..................https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=17152.0

The hardware is pretty much standard for any turbo system. It's really the Engine Management that's a little tricky with the Ford EEC-V PCM. The key to getting the turbo set-up running properly (without blowing it up) is the fuel and ignition management. There are different ways to do it, but the best is probably the SCT programable chip and tuner software.

Hey good luck on your project!
