200 +hp is it possible

Is it possible to get over 200 hp at the fly on a stock d16z6? This setup is with turbo running x amount of bosst with a intercooler and water injection. I would like to shoot for 200 at the wheels. Also is you don't think that it is possible what do i need to do to reach this goal. I know that everycar is different but please let me know. Also i will be running a btm and a afc hack.

On HMT, we call it "Going Jan Style" where boost has no limits ;)

I don't want to spend a ---- load. Every thing that boosted ed has is what i can afford. I was also thinking about a water injection system. Does boosted ed's head gasket let him run 12 psi or does the head gasket really matter?

The thicker head gasket allows him to run more boost before he reaches the detonation point (i don't know what else to call it) due to overly high combustion chamber pressure.

How much does one of these head gaskets cost?

Damn. I'm impressed. I can't believe he is running stock internals. I always thought they would snap at around 200-225 hp.

That turbo must be the thing making most of that hp. I don't think a standard T3 would run that sheet.

hehe, yea its verry possible just gotta be smart about it and do some GOOD TUNING, keep the iat's low and you will let the motor last longer. i run greddy headgakets wich retail for 239 but i get htem at a special price :)

Re:200 +hp is it possible

Hey boosted ed you talked about good tuning but the only thing you have is an afc correct? That is what is said on the project page. I would like to the exact thing as you and boosted to 12psi and get 240 hp at the wheels. Can you tell us your whole setup and how long has it lasted if you don't mind. Thanks for the help.

Sincerly,
A big fan

hey I LIKE PIZZA, did you see my friend with his white street civic?(another white civic not the one u talking about) he was running in quick 8 class, 11.0 civic almost 10s, we were chillin with DynoSportRacing booth with their 11sec all motor cars.

and my friend's neighbor was there too, white civic SOHC turbo (greddy kit, hit low 14 high 13s) sounds like a 200hp car to me with his 99mph runs. he had stock d15. with improper lowering and tow up tires[doughnut/steelies]

we saw ur friend who blew up the tranny, and got tow back, it looks just like team AVR's civics. got that on tape too.

all i have is a vafc, my whole setup is basically listed in the page that has pics and its very simple. this motor lasted 3 months but due to overheating my head warped leading to water geting into cyl 3 and hyrolocking the cyl. if you want some big#'s i sugest finding a place with a wideband and i always ran race gas.

Keehnel1414 05-15-2003 04:03 PM

Re:200 +hp is it possible

oh that sucks? I don't want to run race gas so I want the engine to last at least a year how much psi do you think i can run. How much hp do you think i can get. Do you think i can beat a gsr?

BoostedED9 05-15-2003 05:18 PM

Re:200 +hp is it possible

a gsr is easy challenge can be done with like 8 psi... my car wont be runing for a good while i would say by the way things are going for me, maybe it wont run again i migh take it to a junkyard since its so ugly and dont really want the car anymore.....
