is 20 vac. normal?

hey everyone when my car is idle the boost/vac gauge reads 20 vac..is that normal? so far the from the feed back i got ive been told that 10-12 vac is the norm

I get 21 at idle (750rpm). I think the more vac you have, the better your rings are (someone told me this), any truth to this?
