20 PSI on SOHC Daily Driven

I am looking for people that are running large amounts of boost on there SOHC and I am wanting to just find out what they are running and just get a feel of what I am lacking to buy and what to watch out for. Currently I have a Z6 block that I am throwing the Darton Permormance Sleeves in. I have a set of Stock Comp JE SRP Pistons and Eagle H Beam rods. I have a Y8 head that is being P&P and getting a 5 angle valve job. I will be running Uber WOOT WOOT. I have a T3 turbo, Greddy Mani converted to T3 flange, Greddy BOV, Greddy MBC, Spearco FMIC, Tial Wastegate, and a few other things that I can't remember. One thing that I am still needing are injectors. I just wanna see what everyone is runnin. Also I am gonna run a walboro 255 with a good FPR. I am just wanting a little feedback from everyone that has done something like this. Anything I should do different. I know it is only a T3 but will upgrade later. Also if anyone has a map form Uber running this much boost I would GREATLY appreciate it to give me something to compare to. I have a 96 coupe if you were wondering. But any input is greatly appreciated.

Well we eould need more info on the specs of the turbo to find out what kind of hp levels you will be at @20psi.

A 60trim straight t3 will usually push out 300whp at around those numbers so i would say youd be at 55-65% duty cycle with some 550s and youd be good after you upgrade turbos till about 360whp. Then its time for some 710cc supra inhectors.

Good Luck.

I run 21 psi on my stock d15b2 daily, buy my book or something. this thread ------- sucks. at 20psi on a t3 you're going to be falling off of the efficiency range, you better have a good fmic to cool down all that hot air. It's been posted on here before, 450s are good to 360hp at 90% duty cycle on 42psi or so of fuel pressure. at 20psi you should easily be knocking on 400hp's door, if not just knocking and blowing ---- up.

Kyle, that post is exactly what I wanted to hear. People have been ------- telling me my 450's wont cut 300whp (honda-tech puss bags), and I know I can get even more out of it by upping the fuel pressure. Have a link?

Re:20 PSI on SOHC Daily Driven

Ok, go ahead and push the injectors. Any person in there right mind wouldnt push any injector over 90% duty cycle, the pulsewidths become inconsistent around that figure and it just creates inconsistencys in the fuel spray. upping the fuel pressure (to a certain extent) again, just creates inconsistent fueling if you just up the fuel pressure to try and fix it. It will just worsen the situation.

And you wont be falling out of the efficiency of the .63ex ar 60 trim t3 which was the turbo i was refering to. You will be right around its limits yes but you wont be blowing pure hot air. You want more backup on that, contact Jeff @ Evanstuning.com and get schooled my young grasshopper. Heres the link: http://evans-tuning.com/viewtopic.php?t=1540

Also, why would you post something if you wanted to hear a certain response, that pretty much defeats the whole purpose of posting. And furthermore, this car will be daily driven? Good luck with a 90% duty cycle, if it were me id look for a set of s4 rx7 tII injectors (550s) which you cant get for maybe $30 more that dsm 450s. IF you want a set lmk, i have like 3 sets.

This is what it boils down to:

Can you get 300whp out of 450s? yes
IS it pushing the injector? yes
Can you find 550s for the sme price or $20-30 more? yes

So why not just upgrade. Jesus, youve spent an arm and a leg on the internal build, i hope you know that doenst make the motor invincible.

Re:20 PSI on SOHC Daily Driven

I have had my eye on some 550's from stealh mode and RC but I have heard that those may not be enough. I keep getting different responses. That was the reason for me posting this so I can get a multitude of responses and see what has worked for everyone so that I can make a decision as to what I need to buy. I am eventually going to upgrade to a T3/T4 so I am leaning more towards the larger injectors up in the 700's. Is this over kill for 400 HP and a 50 shot. I am not trying to stir up controversy I am just wanting some opinions so that I can decide which way that I need to go.

450's are over 100% duty cycle at about 330 whp, where you getting these numbers from kyle?
