2 step colder NGK's?
people always say get 2 step colder plugs with a turbo setup, so i went to napa auto parts and me and the guy looked in the book and could only find NGK plugs 1 step colder that would work for a d16a6. What is the plug # for 2 step colder ngk plugs for a d16a6?

Re:2 step colder NGK's?
I use NGK BKR7e-11, which are the 2 step colder plugs. This is in a Y7, but I dont think it should matter (?)

Re:2 step colder NGK's?
I think that is only a 1 step colder, because that # place where the 7 is in that # determines how hot or cold the plug is and a d16a6 stock plug is a 6.

Re:2 step colder NGK's?
NGK ZFR5J-11 is the stock plug for my D16Z6.

Re:2 step colder NGK's?
a6 stock plugs are 6's 1 step colder should be good unless you're beefing a6.
how much boost are you planning to run? |
Re:2 step colder NGK's?
10 lbs

Re:2 step colder NGK's?
stock plugs are 6, 7 will be fine unless your planning on boost in excess of 15 psi. any thing colder and you will have a problem starting the car on a cold morning!

Re:2 step colder NGK's?
yea i definately agree.. one step colder is fine... even stock temp set ups work but if u boost a lot and continuously then u could fry em
