1st turbo startup, advice plz...

Hey guys, just finished up my first turbo install and I have a few questions.

First the car ran like crap on startup, and died on me. Did this twice. I started checking into things and wound up swapping the stock fuel pump back in place of the walboro I installed. It seemed to work because it ran after that. There seemed to be alot of built up pressure in the fuel lines when swapping pumps. I mean alot, more then ive ever seen on a few previous walboro installs. Any ideas? How likely is it that the pump that is "new" (im not sure) is bad? Bad check valve maybe?

Also does anyone have advice about setting the car up to run decent for the time being, until it can be tuned within a few days, and to get it to there? Its an LS motor, t3/t4 60-1, external tial gate with 7psi spring, running stock injectors. RC550s and MBC for when it gets hondata.

thanx everyone

the car has 550s and the walboro that happen to not work, but i was told that the car will not run with a stock ecu and the 550s. This is all just for like a day or two, and for the ride to the tuner.

o and btw not my car, just working on it haha...
any experiences with busted fuel pumps?
thanks guys

NO, the car won't run with the stock ecu and 550's unless you have some way to scale them down (afc, smc, etc.). so the car is getting hondata right, but you just need to drive it to get it installed? if so, just put the stock injectors back in, retard the timing and be sure to run 93 oct. gas and you'll be good to go just don't boost over 3 or 4 psi. that's a pretty big turbo, so it won't be as easy as you think to spool it up anyways, just stay out of boost as much as possible, but if you see it going in to boost, just ease off the gas. i drove my car like this for two weeks. just take the injectors and throw them in when they install the hondata. as far as the pump, if it worked fine when you took it out and put the stock back in, either it's defective or you hooked it up wrong, but the stock pump will be fine.
