Re: 1st gen supra turbo?

CT26, the bigger of the two variants. No known compressor maps, but it's fairly large-ish turbo, would work well on a D16 or LS I think.

EDIT: 7MGTE's are from 3rd Gen (MKIII) Supras, not first ;)

Pft, only 300? Car is pigslut heavy highway brawler, unless you throw the engine into a 2900 lb MKII shell, but I would never do anything like that.... >:D

Lunsford has his gutted + sawzalled to less than that. There's video of him stomping the ---- out of a ~500 whp Procharged C5 on jblmk3.com, from a roll, from a standstill, unstoppable Corvette ownage. And people think MkIII Supras are jokes...

Less than 2900, confirmed? That car must be chopped to ----, most MKIII's weigh in at around 3600 pounds depending on the options, people have had them on the scales weighing 3900 pounds wet. 1986.5 NA hardtops are the lightest from the factory but are still pretty hefty. The cars are lowbuck destroyers, I've always loved them.

I think the car has run an 11.8 with typical IRS wheelhop. 438 whp 490 wtq, and weighs enough less than aforementioned 3500 lb Vette to destroy it by a significant margin.

Like most platforms, it's the man and not the machine.... although a willing machine is always a bonus.b

I've watched enough videos of enough high HP hondas hitting enough shitty times to realize that much.

11.8's mean about 120ish mph traps? So going on that the car only weighs about 3200 pounds if you reverse engineer a few HP calculators, not that they're accurate, but it's hard to find 600-700 pounds of stuff to cut out of that chassis. The cars are tanks, pure and simple, I used to troll the MKIII supraforum, pictures of various poles with more damage than cars were common.

i honestly dont think it would be hard to find 600 pounds of ---- to come out of a toyota from that generation. both front seats all teh random cast iron brackets on the motor all the metal bars in the door and ----. id say you could push it. hell that motor should be able to make more power than that also. im going to shoot for 450 on a 3sgte. ive seen people hit 4 on stock 3sge's. i wish i could find an mk3 turbo in good shape for a good price.

I see rediculously good deals for ones needing minor work, usually young kids who bought the car without realizing that a 20 year old sports car needs some refreshing before you can beat on it, especially one with the reliablity of a MKIII Supra ::)

Are almost finished with a b16a civic that wil be running a CT26 turbo with t04E internals.
Should go well, the turbo itself is massive and should hopefully produce the top end power we are after.
Pics up soon >:D
