1st gen. dsm turboed CRX
Quick question. Someone started this project, quit half way through, and left me with a mess. I've damn near got this finished but my question is. On the turbo there are 2 holes, one for oil feed, one for water. Do i have to use the water, or can it just be plugged?

If there are only 2 holes on the center, then you ahve one for inlet and one for outlet of oil.
If you have 4 holes, then you have a water/oil cooled. Use the search function and you will find a ton of threads about this. |
Re:1st gen. dsm turboed CRX
The search is not the greatest.....and for water lines you can just leave them unplugged since it's just a water jacket anyways

Re:1st gen. dsm turboed CRX
I love people who suggest using the search function. They have obviously never tried it. What a joke.
No offense HMT. Every forum I've been to has a search function that works like complete ----. |
Re:1st gen. dsm turboed CRX
The search function is a bitch but when you learn the tricks of how to use it it isn't bad. But I wouldn't really reccomend it to anyone :-\
You don't need the water lines for the turbo. only the oil feed and return. Don't forget to post pics when your done, I love 1st gen CRX's |
Re:1st gen. dsm turboed CRX
Gotta put my 2 cents in too, yes THE SEARCH FUNCTION SUCKS! It wound be great if it acually worked the way it's supposed to. (hint hint) As for the water cooling, if it's not a big pain in the ass, I would use it...but my no means is it nessisary to have the turbo work...it may just last a little longer.

It's easy to hook up the water just use the lines that are supposed to go to the TB of IAC
