not sure on yamaha but all you have to do is look on the lower engine case. there should be a wire going into it.

the pics in this thread are for an unfinished turbo build so i wouldnt go by anything in these pics. once you find the oil pressure switch remove it and purchase a t fitting. screw in the t fitting, screw in the oil pressure sensor and then use the extra port for a -3 or -4 braided line. you will need a restrictor at the turbo flange otherwise you will flood the turbo with oil and lose precious oil pressure to the engine.

also i was thinking about a one way check valve to keep the oil in the turbo when the engine is shut down and scavenging an oil cooler from a gsxr to help with heat control. do you think this sounds like a good set up?

a check valve wont keep the oil in the turbo. oil pressure goes into the turbo and then gravity takes over for the drain. once the engine is turned off there is no oil pressure in the turbo so a check valve wont do anything. once the engine is restarted oil pressure is almost instant. i can guarantee there will be no room for an oil cooler. in order to turbo an 01+ gsxr 1000 the oil cooler needs to be elliminated so i doubt there will be room for one. running low boost theres no need for an oil cooler or an intercooler. its a waste of time and money.
