Just a quick update, working on the intake manifold right now.

Remember, the inlet is on the passenger side now.

This is going to be welded up by my Wife's cousin who welds for a living up in Washington. Just another reason I love my wife

also, I went ahead and finished welding the intake pipe and support brace. then I painted it with the same high temp paint.

To those of you who are complaining about me painting everything with black and supposedly trapping the heat in.........bite me.

I should hopefully get the intake back in a week, and then I can start installing everything!!!

Hooray! So it seems as though I'm still on track for getting this running by the end of the Month.

Looks like I'm going to come in slightly over budget, lots of little parts pile up quickly, but the total build tally for this thing is:

$1,544.42

Still not too bad.

just a couple pictures.

You take one brake line:

chop a piece out of it and weld it into the piping:

mocked up:

and there you have it: one MAP reference signal

I think this man has more patience in fabricating skill than anyone on here. Good work, keep us posted.

OK everyone! finally got the manifold back from welding, looks pretty good except for one thing, an oversight I forgot to mention to the welder. The short legth of pipe coming off the end was supposed to be at the same angle as the metal it's welded to, I forgot to clarify that, and he put the pipe pointing straight out, as you can see in the pictures, this creates some clearance problems with the power steering pump.

Anyway, this was the last piece I needed, so now I can finish the fine tune Fab, get it all painted up and installed. I'm going to install it all over Christmas weekend since I don't celebrate it. Need to make sure I've got most everything I'll need on hand because places will be closed

On with the pictures (I really am trying hard with this camera to get good pictures I promise!)

and here's some shots of what the whole system together kind of looks like:

I must thank Dom here for giving me the idea about the wrinkle paint as well, I was just going to use the same black on this that I have already, but I think his came out really nice and I'd like to do the same. Thanks Man
