Default 1990 map sensor

anyone know how much boost the map sensor will take before the ECU sees boost and throws a code? 1990 civic d15. i dont have a boost guage hooked up yet, as soon as i get a CEL i let off

about 1psi I think, the map sensor can take roughly 10psi, but the computer goes into limp mode

hmm, im glad this thread popped up.

i drive a g2, and im almost ready to install my junkyard kit. how much boost can the map sensor on a 93 integra handle? same as the 90 as mentioned above?

yes, older honda map sensors are one bar, so they can read about 10psi. but the computer can't as sson as the computer see's over 0 psi, it thorws a CEL and goes into limp mode.
